Sidekick Accounting is excited to be hiring for a Full Time Junior Bookkeeping Associate.  This is an existing position within our growing business. Our company is based out of Wisconsin but our team is fully remote with employees across the States. At Sidekick Accounting Services, our mission is to do more than just client bookkeeping and taxes. Our Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a remote environment that is always evolving to better serve our clients. As a Junior Bookkeeping Associate, this is a full-time position with a set schedule that allows some flexibility when your workload can be performed. Monthly and weekly meetings will include some fixed hours to ensure your team engagement. Understanding the purpose of bookkeeping & the importance of producing accurate reports in a timely fashion ensures you are qualified.

Your day-to-day work usually is 35% client-facing & 65% bookkeeping processes. Responsibilities will include client interaction and meetings, our daily Team Up, entering payroll journal entries, completing sales adjustments, processing Client’s accounts payable and Client’s accounts receivable, and compiling data and analysis for financial reporting. If you are an outgoing person that enjoys helping client’s in a responsive manner and yet truly love digging into all the details

With your minimum of 3 years Small Business Bookkeeping experience we are looking for you to possess excellent time management and organizational skills. Success will be easy for you if you excel at following processes & procedures. If you love checking projects off your list for that sense of completion then this job is for you.

Responsibilities

Junior Bookkeeping Associate responsibilities include:

  • Processing multiple Clients’ Accounts Payable & Clients’ Accounts Receivable

  • Accurately recording payments/deposits, expenses, payroll wages, sales & draws in Quickbooks

  • Review and correct Client General Ledger entries & Chart of Accounts Allocations

  • Prepare, Review and Deliver Client Financial Reports as assigned

  • Proactively ensure all process steps are completed fully and timely

  • Meeting or exceeding all KPIs as structured

  • Meet or exceed all deadlines

  • Responsible for bank & account reconciliations

  • Compile Budget/Financial Modeling

  • Attend timely & prepared meetings with Clients as scheduled

  • Serve internal colleagues and external clients in a positive, professional, and timely manner

  • Successfully facilitate client project coordination to ensure priority and timely completion

  • Attend, engage and be prepared for our team monthly & weekly meetings

  • Professionally utilize company email, project management, and document sharing systems to support our paperless workflows

  • Assist in other tasks as needed to fulfill core obligations

Requirements

Requirements include:

 

  • Small Business Bookkeeping Experience minimum of 3 years including financial reporting and journal entries

  • Excel in Quickbooks Online

  • Professional experience with remote work environment minimum of 1 year

  • Priority driven motivation

  • Excellent at responsive communications

  • Possess a high personal sense of urgency

  • High Attention to Detail

 

Preferred, but not required:

  • Experience with Podio

  • Experience with Front

  • Experience with Sharefile

  • Experience with Quickbooks Online
